The right way to do it: Apply a thin layer of grease to the hub cavity. This not only ensures the lubrication of key parts, but also facilitates the heat dissipation and cooling of the wheel hub, and can save a lot of grease at the same time.
有些驾驶员在维护轮毂轴承时，将轮毂轴承及空腔装满润滑脂，并认为越多越好，其实并不是这样。轮毂腔中装满润滑脂会使大部分的润滑脂甩到轮毂空腔里，不但不能补充到轴承里去，反而会流到制动鼓中的制动蹄片上，使制动失灵，同时因滚动阻力增大，会使轮毂过热，并且造成不必要的浪费。
正确的做法：在轮毂空腔内涂一层薄薄的润滑脂。这样既保证了关键部位的润滑，又易于轮毂的散热降温，同时又可以节约大量的润滑脂。
